Blackboard vs. WebCT

On March 8, 2000, the courseware evaluation committee met to compare the two finalists in UT's search for course server tools: WebCT and Blackboard. The committee discussed and evaluated different aspects in turn, and at the conclusion of the discussion of each aspect, either a winner was chosen or a tie was declared. The issues discussed:

- Pedagogy
- Training
- Authentication
- Real Time Class Information Updates
- Scalability
- Foundation Elements
