Administer an updated, refined survey such as the one proposed in Appendix C by the Faculty Sub-Group of the e-University Steering Committee to a larger segment of the Blackboard user population.
Create a procedure for direct faculty input.
Refine data so it may be used more effectively. For instance, create levels of withholding directory information and standardize e-mail address sources so they can be customized and updated in real-time.
Secure funding for a dedicated Oracle server and associated support staff.
Cultivate a relationship with Blackboard development and support staff that ensures optimal responsiveness.
Research the viability of integrating an open-source product such as Prometheus or WebCT.
