Archiving your site

How do I archive my course site?
If you are an instructor, archive your course site regularly and keep those archives as backups.
To back up your site, do the following:
- Run Blackboard, log in, and open your course.
- Open the Control Panel and select Archive Course under Course Options.
- Make sure the correct course is listed and click Submit.
This creates an archive copy in .zip format, which you should keep in a safe place.
The Blackboard server is backed up regularly to allow restoration of all courses in the event of a catastrophic failure. However, backups to an individual site are much harder and much more time-consuming to do. Thus, if you or one of your TA's accidentally destroys part of your site, you are responsible for having a copy of your data. The system administrator will have to help you restore the data from your archive.
