Tips

Students work together to accomplish academic goals (Hiltz et al., 2000; Reeves & Reeves, 1997) by actively participating in the process of knowledge creation and interpretation (Brandon & Hollingshead, 1999; Verdejo, 1996).

  • Students post their work to the Discussion Board and all students can view each other’s creations.

    Example:

    1. Students spend spend 30 minutes drawing,
    2. Students translate the drawing into words
    3. Instructor takes digital pictures of drawings, and uploads into a folder for viewing.
