By associating new materials to ideas already in students’ long-term memory, knowledge is more interrelated which increases the locations a learner has to connect the new information (Eggen & Kauchak, 2001).
Requiring students to comment critically and reflectively on others’ opinion in Blackboard improves student interaction and participation leading to meaningful learning.
