Blackboard tutorials: Adding an item

Blackboard allows users to upload files to many different content areas. In this tutorial you'll learn how to navigate to the content areas in Blackboard, and how to name, classify, and upload your file. You can find more information about the variety of file types that are allowed by clicking here.

1. In the Control Panel area, on the top left under Content Areas, click on Course Documents.

 

2. On the top left, click on the Add Item button.

 

3. Click on the drop-down menu in the top center and select a name that best describes your document. To specify your own name for the item, type the name of the item in the text field provided.

 

4. Use the Text box to describe the contents of your document.

 

5. To add the document from your computer, in the Item Attachments section, click on the Browse button.

 

6. In the browse dialog box, select your file, and click the Open button.

 

7. Click the Submit button, at the lower right, to finish adding the document.
