Blackboard tutorials: Enrolling a user

In this tutorial you'll learn how to navigate to the Enroll User area, and how to search for and add a specific user. Before attempting to add a user, use the List/Modify Users feature to confirm that the user is not already enrolled in your class.

This action will usually be performed when adding a teaching assistant, a course builder, a grader, or a guest to the course. In these instances, after you have added the user, you will also need to modify the role of the user. You can find instructions on how to do this in the Modifying a user tutorial.

1. In the Control Panel area, on the top right under User Management, click on Enroll User.

 

2. Type the last name of the user, or an EID username in the text field provided.

 

3. Below the text field select the appropriate radio button and click on the Search button.

 

4. Find the user you want to add and select their box in the Add column, located to the left of their name.

 

5. Click the Submit button at the lower right to finish enrolling the user.
