Adding grades to your Gradebook

In Blackboard, the Gradebook allows instructors to manage all aspects of student grades. The Gradebook opens to the View Spreadsheet page. From the Spreadsheet, instructors can access the various features, including display settings and options, grade weighting, and the ability to download and upload the Gradebook.
In this tutorial you will learn how to navigate to the Gradebook, how to add an item to the Gradebook, and how to add grades to the Gradebook.
1. In the Control Panel area, on the right under Assessment, Select the Gradebook link.
2. On the View Spreadsheet page, on the top left, click on the Add Item link.
3. In the Item Information area, enter an Item Name in the text box provided, then choose a Category from the drop-down menu.
4. Assign the number of Points Possible, and on the Display As drop-down menu, choose the Score option.
5. Click on the Submit button, and when the item updated message appears click on the OK button to continue.
6. On the View Spreadsheet page, click on the item name link at the top of the column.
8. On the View Item Grades page, enter the grades in the text boxes provided, then click the Submit button.
