Morrie Schulman
Senior Systems Analyst

Morrie Schulman provides support and training to faculty and staff in the use of CPS and other wireless classroom communication systems. He performs research on the impact of such systems on the teaching and learning process. Morrie was the principal investigator for a committee tasked to select and license WebCT, the first Web course tool implemented at UT. He has collaborated with other UT instructors and staff to publish articles about both products.

Background
Morrie has been with the CIT since 1997, when he returned to the University after running a small business for 20 years. He holds a master's degree in educational psychology with emphasis on program evaluation and a second master's degree in library and information science. He has worked as an educational program evaluator and has taught at Austin Community Schools and Austin Community College. Morrie served as vice-president for continuing education for the International Association of Financial Planners and maintains professional licenses in real estate, securities, and insurance but is most excited about the rapid changes occurring in information technology. His studies currently concentrate on use of the Internet in education and business.
