Ear Training for Beginning Hebrew Language Students

Project Description:
Ear-training, a pedagogical concept borrowed from music education, is
essentail to the development of listening skills which are the key to
sucessful communicationi a language. These online tutorials will be based
on error-detection and will provide helpful hints as well as immediate
feedback on correct and incorrect answers. They will be use with first-year
Hebrew students, and will be susequently expanded to present more complex
discourse units, suitable for more advanced students.
These tutorials are an expansion of an intital
set designed for letter/word recognition practice, which is available
at the Hebrew Language
web site.
The site is open to general use, and has gained quick recognition among
Hebrew instructors all over the US.
