Project Description:
The Department of Psychology conducts hundreds of experiments each year in which more than 5000 undergraduate students participate. The logistics of registering students for these experiments and tracking their participation in them is extremely time-consuming and difficult. The Web Management System allows students to register for experiments via the web and track their participation. Additionally, researchers can design and administer web-based questionnaires and track the results easily. The Web Management System will revolutionize the way research is conducted in the Psychology Department, while creating a valuable archive of experimental data. Using the web saves an estimated 300,000 sheets of paper annually as well as substantially reducing the amount of administrative time and money spent on experimental research.
