IITAP – Innovative Instructional Technology Awards Program

IITAP celebrates and rewards faculty efforts to incorporate technology in their teaching. The annual awards are offered by the Office of the Provost and administered by the Division of Instructional Innovation and Assessment (DIIA). IITAP is now in its eleventh year of recognizing innovative, new media instructional materials and highlighting accomplishments on behalf of enhancing teaching and learning for students at the University of Texas at Austin.

~FAST Tex – Faculty and Student Teams for Technology

The ~FAST Tex program matches technology-savvy students with UT Austin faculty who have a vision for a new kind of instructional technology. Faculty submit proposals describing the technology they envision, what pedagogical problems it will solve, and how they plan to assess its effectiveness. Then DIIA staffers train ~FAST Tex student interns to operate as free-lance developers working with faculty clients.

Colleges and Departments

This section features instructional technology development efforts within colleges and units throughout UT Austin, including material for course websites, discipline-specific instructional resources, and our annual campus-wide IT showcase highlighting current and ongoing projects.
