AIR
for Austin Music
A team of five CIT staff members (Malaika Boyd,
Dana Deloca, T.J. Fullington, Elias Ponvert, and Suzanne Rhodes) participated
in the AIR for Austin Music rally sponsored by Knowbility.
The event was produced in conjunction with the SXSW Interactive Festival
and utilized an emphasis of developing music-oriented Web sites to introduce
and address issues surrounding the accessibility of multimedia on the
Internet. The CIT team received special recognition for their text descriptions

New
Media Consortium
CIT is a member of the New Media Consortium, an international nonprofit
organization of higher education institutions and digital technology companies
empowering educators to change the way people learn. Members of the NMC
offer some of the finest examples of the craft, for example, Dartmouth,
the Rochester
Institute of Technology, UCLA,
and Yale
Medical School.

and place in history. The Galileo Project is a hypertext source of information

Visual Thesaurus
Quoting their Web page, "The Plumb Design Visual Thesaurus is
an exploration of sense relationships within the English language. By
clicking on words, you follow a thread of meaning, creating a spatial
map of linguistic associations. The Visual Thesaurus was built using Thinkmap,
a data-animation technology developed by Plumb Design.
