Creating a CPS Database

In this tutorial you will learn how to create a CPS database using the standard CPS for PC application. The process is similar when using CPS for Power Point. (See the CPS for Power Point tutorial for instructions).

A CPS database is a file that is created by CPS and has a file extension of *.cps. This file contains your class rosters, lessons, questions, and when you installed CPS. A dialogue box appears when opening CPS for all the reports of student performance.

1. Click on the CPS icon created the first time. Select "Create a new CPS database" and "OK".

2. Select a location and name the database. The file extension *.cps is automatically added to your file name. Press "Save" to continue.

.
3. Classes and lessons are created and modified under the "Prepare" tab.
