Courseware tutorials
Campus-wide, UT Austin offers the courseware development tool Blackboard, designed to enable faculty to post a syllabus and resource materials, incorporate online discussion groups and chat sessions, build a variety of online course components, and use class management features of the software. CIT has trained staff dedicated to providing support for any faculty member who wishes to use Blackboard for a course.
Some individual colleges offer courseware tools to meet their specific needs, such as FirstClass by the College of Education, and support for them is handled by the colleges' staffs.
