Graphic editors
All of these graphics tools are available in the
CIT multimedia lab:
Photoshop
Tutorial modules from Adobe, including especially useful ones on how
to easily create Web photo galleries, how to use files as tracing images,
and how to do animations. Includes links to more tutorials on other Adobe
products.
Illustrator
A variety of tutorial modules from Adobe, including an excellent one
on building custom brushes in Illustrator, how to create 3D effects, and
more. Includes a tutorial on the SVG vector graphics format.
Fireworks
Tutorial from Macromedia for using Fireworks, its Web graphics editing
and animation package, in conjunction with Dreamweaver.
ImageReady
Adobe's ImageReady is now built into Photoshop, and its features for
preparing graphics for the Web are smoothly integrated with its parent
product.
Flash
Samples and step-by-step online tutorials from Macromedia for this
popular animation package which is available for use in the CIT multimedia
lab. Included are beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Scanners
Scanning tips and tutorials, including a run-down of popular scanning
software, and excellent discussions of a number of related graphics topics,
including resolution and file formats.
