Privacy in online courses
Beginning in Spring 2001, all accredited courses taught at the University of Texas at Austin began to offer password-protected class Web sites. Each class Web site now includes electronic course rosters and e-mail lists. These rosters and e-mail lists are available only to the personnel and students officially associated with a class. Students who elect to restrict their directory information at the Office of the Registrar will have their identities suppressed within class rosters and e-mail lists.
