University of Minnesota: GenEdWeb

Read about the experiences of teachers and children participating in the AT&T Learning Network initiative. This paper does more than say how the Internet can expand the classroom experience, it vividly illustrates the benefits. As it states,

The AT&T Learning Network provides a structure -- Learning Circles--and process --team work over time and distance--for creating a shared way of understanding."

LAEP's Learning Community Program

"The LAEP Learning Community Program, in collaboration with the UCLA Advanced Management Program and other training partners, will help schools participating in the LEARN program develop 'Learning Communities.' The program described above is an excellent example of teamwork and collaboration within the teaching community. This site specifically addresses the scope, description and future of the LAEP program.
