Incentive programs

CIT sponsors incentive programs to encourage the development of innovative technologies in learning, teaching, and research. Its IITAP annual awards recognize faculty leaders in instructional technologies, and its newest program, ~FAST Tex, provides a pool of technology-literate students to pair with faculty to develop innovative instructional materials.

~FAST Tex—Faculty and Student Teams for Technology
~FAST Tex provides a pool of technology-literate students to work with faculty in developing innovative materials that enhance teaching and learning. This year's program marks the fourth year of faculty-student ~FAST Tex collaborations.

IITAP—Innovative use of Instructional Technology Awards Program
IITAP is designed to encourage and reward faculty efforts to develop new multimedia course content for UT Austin courses using emerging technologies. Supported by the Office of the Provost since 1996, this year's total award is $7500.
