Logistical tips

Check room
Before your first lecture check out the room to make sure it has everything you need and to get a feel for the layout and atmosphere.

Check software
Do the computers have the software and plugins you need? Go to the Liberal Arts tech classrooms Web site and select the classroom you will be using. Next, select the Windows computer or Mac computer links in the left frame to get a software list for each computer in that particular classroom.

Prep content
Organize your content (PowerPoint slides, software applications, music, etc.) and bring it to the classroom on a CD or Zip disk. You can leave content on the ìD Driveî on the PC or the ìUser HDî on the Mac. However, be aware that many people use these computers and your materials may not always be safe from deletion or changes.

Practice
If you have a complex presentation planned, with a variety of media, go to the room ahead of time, and practice your presentation.

Exit room
Remember to log out of the system using the touch screen. Select the "Begin and End Here" button. This automatically turns the projector off. The computers are always left running.
