Resources

A number of sources, individuals, institutions, and external initiatives have been resourceful to the Course Transformation Program (CTP) at UT Austin. The resources listed and collected here offer insights on guiding documents that have influenced our projects and practices.

The research section outlines the theories and practices among three categories that have guided our work: course redesign, instructional development and technology, and assessment and evaluation.

The workshops section describes the professional development opportunities that have emerged from our course redesign efforts to date. Ranging from team-based learning to peer instruction, from backward design to the role of technology, each interactive workshop is outlined with companion literature.

The collaborative sessions section records the community-building activities held with CTP faculty working on shared course redesign issues, methods, strategies, tools, and practices.

A collection of approaches to learning and teaching includes best practices and examples with descriptions and video presentations on model-based reasoning, critical thinking, and response systems.
