Collaborative Sessions

These informal community building activities draw participating CTP faculty together to work on common issues, approaches, tools, and practices related to course redesign. They are usually two-hour sessions during which faculty can share, explore and discuss their concerns, insights, successes, and lessons learned

Project Collaboration and Converstaion with the Director

A collaborative session will be held October 12, 2012 from 8-10.  Faculty involved in the Course Transformation Program and CTL staff will engage in sharing experiences and conversation with Dr. Gretchen Ritter, Director of CTP.

CTP Program Assessment Plan

CTL assessment staff: Drs. Dawn Zimmaro, Stephanie Corliss, and Doris Adams have developed a draft plan to start the discussion. This activity has implications for each project and their course based assessment plans. Since all of the projects will be moving into piloting stage (first or second cycle) in the fall, we would like to have this discussion early enough to be ready to implement the plan in September.

Learning Strategies In Our Teaching.

As our course redesign efforts begin to envision new opportunities for student-centered learning, it is important to consider some pedagogical approaches that we can apply to best model and integrate learning strategies in our teaching. This session will provide opportunities for the three project teams to work together to identify the types of learning experiences that will best enable students to become more productive learners. Dr. Marilla Svinicki from the Department of Educational Psychology will facilitate the discussion.
