Reporting CIS results
STEP 7. Analyze the data
When you receive your CIS feedback forms, the first thing to do is sort them into stacks based on the rating each student gave for the “Overall Course” or “Overall Instructor” survey questions. [more]
STEP 8. Make conclusions
Evaluate the results by how well they answer your central questions. Draw conclusions about changes that you might make in instruction, content, or assignments based on the findings. Also consider student satisfaction with various aspects of a course when making changes.
STEP 9. Report results
To emphasize students' contribution in the assessment and make future participation more likely, you can share the results or thank the students later through Blackboard or an email. You might also provide response patterns, your general impressions, and how the results will be used.
