Creating / adding an assignment

1. Choose a class to work with, then click on the Add Assignment link in the expanded Navigation Menu.

2. On the Add Assignment page, use the drop-down menu to select a Type for this assignment.

3. In the text boxes provided, enter a Title for the assignment, then enter the Due Date that will be displayed to the students.

4. In the text box provided, enter the Release Date, which will determine when the grade and assignment can be viewed by the student. In the next text box, enter the number of total Points Available for this assignment, then click the Add Assignment button. (There are also optional fields that can be used.)

5. A confirmation message reports that the assignment has been added.
Note: With the exception of Type, all the details of the assignment can be updated at any time. See the Editing an assignment tutorial for more information.
