FACULTY

~FAST Tex faculty information

The goal of the ~FAST Tex Program is to help faculty transform and enhance teaching and student learning through innovative instructional uses of technology. Many ~FAST Tex grant recipients have gone on to receive IITAP Awards.

Types of technology that can be developed include:

  • Simulations and games
  • Mobile applications
  • Animations and multimedia
  • Interactive learning environments, tutorials, and study exercises
  • Assessment applications
  • Course and department resource Web sites and rich Internet applications (non-Blackboard)

Accepted projects are awarded consulting support for content preparation (during spring semester), a set number of development hours (to be completed in summer), and project implementation and assessment support following development.  Faculty should be prepared to provide project leadership, subject matter expertise, and content for the team during the spring and summer.  Our staff works with development teams and supports the progress of each project, providing student screening, training and mentoring, program orientation, assistance with project management, development, assessment, and implementation, lab facilities and equipment, and consulting as needed.
