Please view the GSI Program Three-year Report (pdf) Graduate Student Colloquium 2006 Survey Responses and EvaluationThis year's colloquium, entitled "Reflecting: Using discussion, writing, and technology to encourage student-centered learning," recruited graduate presenters from UT-Austin through a call for proposals, much as professional organizations do to populate event programs with speakers. Please view the Difficult Dialogues/Signature Course TA Training Evaluation Results (pdf) Graduate Student Instructor Training and GRS 098T at UT AustinThe primary focus of this report is the examination of the GRS 098T pilot project and how it relates to other GSI professional development efforts on campus. Specifically, the report examines student, faculty, and administrative response to the project with a focus on its strengths and challenges. The relationship of the partner department 398T courses with GRS 098T and the ASPECTS program is also discussed. Please view the Graduate Student Instructor Training and GRS 098T at UT Austin Report (pdf) GSI Program Spring 2004 Activities and Plans ReportIn keeping with DIIA’s ongoing program evaluation and assessment process, the GSI Program submitted a report on the overall activities and plans from 2004 entitled “A New View.” This report summarizes the results from Graduate Coordinator and GSI surveys and focus groups, took a look at what types of TA Development Programs other universities offer, and outlined GSI course/workshop offerings throughout the semester. The information in this report was invaluable in assessing the needs of our constituents and has greatly influenced DIIA’s GSI Program planning to meet and exceed those needs in the future. The goal of this session was to systematically gather feedback about program support from ASPECTS' presenters. Specifically, we wanted to know what worked well and what could have been better within the following support categories: facilities, sessions, scheduling, grading students, communications and support materials.
