Digital Media Lab

DIIA offers a high-end self-service digital media lab equipped with powerful Mac and PC workstations, a full array of the latest digital media software, and peripherals for input/output. The lab is equipped for digital media authoring, graphics, animation, 3D modeling and visualization, digital video/audio production, slide scanning, and poster printing. It is available for classes or for course-related individual and group projects.

Lab hours: Spring 2009

Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Friday9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday Closed

Poster printing using the plotter printer is available by appointment only. To reserve the lab, or to make an appointment to use specific equipment, contact the lab staff at 475-6364. We can train you in the use of equipment; please arrange for help in advance by calling the lab or e-mailing the lab manager.

Priorities for lab use:

  • DIIA-organized courses and training workshops
  • Faculty use for courses, training workshops, or presentations
  • Approved projects
  • Collateral organizations (other groups within DIIA, TeamWeb, etc.)
  • Faculty/staff consultation by appointment
  • Walk-in (Students and staff using this lab should be working on a project, and have the sponsorship of a faculty member or supervisor.)

(Because we must provide space for the above needs, we are unable to accommodate non-academic uses of the lab.)

Location
The DIIA Digital Media Lab is located in the Graduate School of Business building, GSB 2.130, west of the intersection of 21st Street and Speedway, and near the building entrance beneath the 21st street pedestrian overpass. Walk down the corridor, and enter the lab through the glass doorway at your left.
