Teachers inevitably come to realize that students don’t all learn in the same way. This can be a source of frustration for both the teacher and the learner. Using the Kolb Learning Styles Model, we will build instructional activities that address your students’ individual learning styles and help them succeed. Designing Effective Lectures for Learning
Many instructors forget that the purpose of giving a lecture is NOT simply to deliver information, but to help students learn and understand that information. We will explore the ways in which students learn from lectures and how you as the lecturer can help that process occur. We will analyze lectures from the student perspective and generate strategies that you can use to turn any lecture from a passive into an active learning experience.
