Faculty: the ~FAST Tex 2008 Call for Proposals Deadline is March 10

There is still time for UT-Austin faculty members to submit proposals for the 2008 Faculty and Student Teams for Technology program. ~FAST Tex pairs tech-savvy students from a wide range of academic disciplines with faculty to work as teams to develop instructional projects for use in UT courses.

Projects proposed may describe any of the following:

  • simulations and games
  • 2-D and 3-D animations
  • interactive tutorials and exercises
  • instructional DVDs
  • assessment applications
  • content creation and production
  • course and department resource Web sites (non-Blackboard)
  • video and audio collections

Proposals may be submitted on-line. The deadline for submission is March 10, but we urge you to start the process early to allow time for consultation and project planning with ~FAST Tex staff.

For complete information about the program, please go to the ~FAST Tex Web site or contact the ~FAST Tex program manager, Coco Kishi (kishi@austin.utexas.edu).
