Margot Livesey

Novelist Margot Livesey will be in residence during January and February 2011 as the Michener Residency Author, teaching a short intensive craft course.  She is the author of six novels: Homework, Criminals, The Missing World, Eva Moves the Furniture, Banishing Verona and The House on Fortune Street.  Her many honors include fellowships from the Guggenheim and NEA and a recent L.L. Winship/PEN New England Award for fiction.  A native of Scotland who has taught at Boston University, Carnegie Mellon, the Iowa Writers’ Workshops, and UC Irvine, among others, she lives in Cambridge and is distinguished writer in residence at Emerson College.
