A defining feature of the Michener Center's MFA in Writing is its multi-genre emphasis: our students work in at least two areas--chosen from fiction, poetry, playwriting and screenwriting--exploring new voices and forms while developing a body of work in a primary field of concentration. One of the only programs of its kind in the country, ours has proven to be a remarkably productive experiment.
