Schedule of Events
10 a.m. On-Site Vendor Registration
10 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. One-on-One Certification Assistance
Representatives from Texas Building and Procurement Commission and Texas
Department of Transportation will be on-hand throughout the day to review
and assist vendors with the details of completing certification applications.
11 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. Workshop: Resources for Growing your
Business
Minority Business Development Center and Bonding and Technical Assistance
Center representatives from across the state will discuss business development
opportunities provided by their organizations.
12:45 p.m. EOF Opens
Networking with State Agency representatives and bid on contract opportunities
to be awarded at close of the Forum.
1:45 — 2:45 p.m. Workshop: State of Black Business in Texas
Academic and community business professionals will lead discussions
on black businesses and the economic environment in the State of Texas
. Planned discussions include historical analysis of black business in
Texas and black business trends, the State of Texas Disparity Study ,
and current legislation affecting HUB businesses.
5 p.m. Bidding Closes
All bids should be turned in to their respective agencies so that tabulations
can be made. Awards will be announced.
4:30 — 5:30 p.m. Workshop: Financing Your Business
Learn about various funding opportunities for your business, including
On-the-Spot loan programs.
