The Maryland DOT?s neighborhood conservation program provides funding for transportation improvements on roadways and other transportation facilities located in state designated neighborhoods (often referred to as neighborhood revitalization areas) where the improvements will promote economic revitalization and neighborhood conservation and where these improvements will contribute to other revitalization activities. Eligible components include roadway repaving or reconstruction; roadway signing, lighting and traffic controls; conventional sidewalks; bus shelters and transit station access improvements; streetscaping; and etc. Case/Example: Maryland DOT?s Neighborhood Conservation/Urban Reconstruction Program.
