How Do I Get My Name on a Waiting List for a Stadium Suite?
Send a dated letter or an email requesting placement on the waiting list to
Jim Baker, Assistant Athletics Director, The University of Texas, P.O. Box
7399, Austin, TX 78713-7399 (jimbaker@mail.utexas.edu).
What are the Leasing Terms?
Up to four individuals may lease a single stadium
suite.
Stadium suite lease terms are three, five or seven years. If, over the
course of the lease term, one or more individuals drop out of the plan, the
remaining individuals are responsible for replacing the partners or for
adhering to the lease terms in order to maintain the suite.
A number of west side suites are up for renewal following the 1999 season. Current lessees
have first right of refusal once their lease terms expire.
What Are the Tax-Deductible
Benefits of Leasing a Stadium Suite?
There are three components to stadium suite pricing -- tickets, the
annual suite license, and a tax deductible contribution to the Longhorn
Foundation. The Foundation is the annual giving arm of UT Athletics.
Consult your personal tax advisor for details.
What is the Payment Plan?
Individuals who wish to lease a stadium suite are required to submit $5,000
in earnest money. The earnest money ensures that the individual receives a
suite and a specific location. The stadium suite agreement and annual fees
are divided into three parts:
- Tax deductible contribution to the Longhorn Foundation
- Annual suite license
- Season football tickets
NOTE: Charges for additional game tickets, catering and alcohol/beverage
service are billed separately throughout the season.
The University provides insurance to protect contents of the suite and also provides
liability coverage for suite tenants. Suite holders may pay annually or make a one-time
up front payment -- at present day value -- for the entire length of the agreement
(3-year, 5-year or 7-year term). Suite holders also have right of first refusal to
renew the suite once the lease term is expired. All Suites are sold out for 1999.

Denius Athletics Fields, and other improvements to Royal-Texas Memorial
