Mission Statement
The Financial Information Systems User Services team provides customer support through direct assistance and online resources to facilitate the effective use of the financial information systems for the benefit of the university business community.
Support Areas
Documentation—User Services (US) develops and maintains the Handbook of Business Procedures, writes online help for *DEFINE, and publishes training materials.
Web Pages—US develops and maintains Web pages for FIS, Payroll Services, and Purchasing, HUB, and the Office of the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Web updates requests can be sent to oa.web@austin.utexas.edu.
Office of Accounting Helpline (471-8802)—US staffs the Office of Accounting Helpline at 512-471-8802 to support *DEFINE and university accounting information on the Web.
Accounting Classes—US develops, schedules, and teaches a number of classes on *DEFINE and university accounting procedures.
UT System Institution Support—US also provides accounting support for the other UT System institutions throughout the State of Texas.
The Signature Desk —Signature Desk is a part of US that process office management and unit code requests. Signature Desk requests can be sent to oa.signaturedesk@austin.utexas.edu.
Office of Accounting Helpline (471-8802)
The helpline is available Monday through Friday from 9-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. The Office of Accounting Helpline also responds to e-mail questions sent to oa.askme@austin.utexas.edu.
