User Services (US) develops and maintains the Handbook of Business Procedures. US writes online help for *DEFINE and publishes handouts for classes, handouts for *DEFINE commands, and other training materials. They also publish announcements on the Office of Accounting Web page and on the Good Morning and What's New screens in *DEFINE.
Office of Accounting Web Pages
US develops and maintains the Office of Accounting homepage and related Web pages. These pages contain information about the office, common procedures, frequently asked questions, manuals, forms, publications, class handouts, and links to related administrative offices.
Office of Accounting Helpline (471-8802)
US staffs the Office of Accounting Helpline at 512-471-8802 to assist with University of Texas at Austin accounting questions. This team can assist
you with *DEFINE and university accounting information on the Web. The helpline service
is available Monday through Friday from 9-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. The Office
of Accounting Helpline also responds to e-mail questions sent to oa.askme@austin.utexas.edu.
Accounting Classes
US develops, schedules, and teaches a number of classes on *DEFINE
and university accounting procedures.
Support for UT System Institutions
US provides accounting support for the University of Texas at Austin as well as to other UT System institutions throughout the State of Texas.
