
Annual Equipment Insurance System (AEIS) Renewal for 2009-10It is time for departments to renew their equipment insurance for next fiscal year. The Annual Equipment Insurance System (AEIS) will be open for updates starting Sept. 1, 2009 and ending Sept. 18, 2009. Changes made through EIAR will be effective Nov. 1, 2009 through Oct. 31, 2010. Any items that are not renewed through this system will not be insured for next year. Therefore, you must use AEIS and take an action on each item that is to be insured. For policy information, see the equipment insurance Web site: http://www.utexas.edu/business/busmgr/equip-insur.html Note: Equipment policy renewal negotiations are in progress.We will update the policy information listed on the equipment insurance Web site once negotiations are final. Potential changes to premium rates, deductibles, exclusions, and other factors may affect decisions as to whether to insure your equipment items. Come to a DE 438 class to learn more. DE 438 classes for the 2009-10 renewal period will be offered.
