Change to Inventory Services Office Hours

UT Austin:

In order to focus on fiscal year end processing, Inventory Services is modifying its office hours. Effective Monday, July 2, our office hours will be:

Monday, Tuesday, Friday:
8:30 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m.
Wednesday, Thursday:
1-4 p.m.

How will this affect you?

Scanners
We will communicate with inventory contacts prior to the start of their inventory cycles regarding instructions on picking up their scanners. If you have completed your inventory and need to drop off your scanner, you may do so at any time during our modified office hours. Please do not bring scanners in on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

If you need to do a partial download, you must make an appointment with Jason Pannell prior to returning your scanner. Apppointments will be available between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on most days.

NOTE: It is important for you to schedule an appointment to ensure Jason is available to assist you. If you come to the office without an appointment, you run the risk of a long wait due to already scheduled appointments. We don't want you to waste a trip! Please send an e-mail to oa.jpannell@austin.utexas.edu or call 471-3838 to schedule your appointment.

E-mails and Phone Calls
Please direct your phone calls to our main number, 471-3838. E-mails should be sent to oa.inventory@austin.utexas.edu. We prefer e-mails so that we can respond to your questions with specific links and instructional examples to guide you.

Our phone line will be answered Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. If you can't reach us, please leave a message and we will return your call in the order it is received.

If you call on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings, please leave a message. All voice mail and e-mails received in the morning will be addressed that afternoon.

We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause you. We appreciate and thank you for your support in helping us achieve our fiscal year end processing deadlines. Our normal office hours will resume in the fall.
