University of Texas at Austin Records Retention Schedule, Recertified in February 2008, Is Now Available.

The University of Texas Records Retention Schedule (UTRRS) has been recertified as of Feb. 25, 2008 and is now available for use.

Join Records Management Services at the Town Meeting on April 14, 2008. Agenda items include:

• information about new and updated codes.
• new features of the interactive and searchable PDF version of the UTRRS.
• changes and updated Records Management Services Web pages.
• updated Guidelines for PDFs and imaged records.
• information about upcoming amendments to the 2008 UTRRS.

The UTRRS is the cornerstone of university records management policy. University records are vital business assets; management and protection of them helps us provide efficient, reliable, and enduring service to the university community. They also help us preserve and tell our institutional story. The disposal of records frees us from clutter while protecting the university from risk and liability that may result from improper disposal of records.
