Vendor ID Changes for SSN Remediation

All Institutions:

This Web site is intended to help users stay informed of changes to the use of Vendor IDs and Social Security Numbers (SSNs) in *DEFINE and related systems, including POINT Plus and UT Direct on the Web.

Announcements:

• *DEFINE Screen Changes - Phase II - Changes were implemented in *DEFINE that affect the display and use of the Vendor ID.
• *DEFINE Screen Changes - Phase II - In late February, the second group of *DEFINE screens will change from using the VID to using the UT EID.
• Vendor ID Display and Search Changes - The GG3 and GG4 screens will no longer display the vendor ID.
• *DEFINE Release - Vendor ID Changes Phase 1 - Changes were implemented in *DEFINE that affect the display and use of the Vendor ID.
• *DEBETA Release - Vendor ID Changes Phase 1 - There will be changes in *DEBETA that will affect the display and use of the Vendor ID.
• Vendor ID Display and Search Changes - The GG3 and GG4 screens will no longer display the Vendor ID. If your job functions require that you have access to the Vendor ID you will need to request access to the PG3 and PG4 commands.
• Changes to GT9 and Online Reporting Transaction Listings - The GT9 and Online Reporting Transaction Listings application on the web will begin accepting UT EIDs as an additional search criterion
• *DEFINE Screen Changes - Phase I - *DEFINE screens that display VID numbers are changing to display UT EIDs.
• GGV Document Changes - The GGV screen will be updated with enhancements that will assist users with creating GGV records for individuals and businesses.

These enhancements are being implemented to comply with Business Procedures Memorandum (BPM) 66.
