Simultaneous Majors -
Description and Rates
Simultaneous Majors
Beginning in the Spring 2003 semester, an undergraduate student may pursue
two majors simultaneously, thereby allowing better registration access
in both areas of study. The student must follow all procedures,
meet all requirements and pay all fees and charges associated with both
majors.
Eligibility
Simultaneous majors are only available for undergraduate students who
have completed at least 30 semester hours of course work in residence
at UT Austin, and who have proper approval from both deans.
Billing Scenarios
Declaring simultaneous majors
Consult the dean of the second major for information about requirements
and deadlines.
Adding and/or dropping classes
Consult the My
Tuition Bill site for any additional amount due, even if course
hours do not change. Any refunds as the result of a change in schedule
will be mailed to the student's local address or deposited into your bank
account.
Changing Majors
If you change majors, your tuition and fees bill will be adjusted so
that the appropriate fees and charges are assessed. Consult the My
Tuition Bill site for any additional amount due. Refunds
will be mailed to the student's local address or deposited into your bank
account.
