Early High School Graduation

Eligibility:

  • Completion of the recommended or advanced high school program in less than normal time
  • Meeting eligibility requirements as determined by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board

Costs Covered:
Tuition not to exceed $3,000

Educational Aide

Eligibility:
Students currently working towards certification as an Education Aide

Costs Covered:
Resident tuition and required fees, except for Lab fees, Supplemental fees, and Incidental fees.

Teaching Assistant (TA)/Assistant Instructor (AI) Tuition Assistance

Eligibility:
Students employed as teaching assistants or assistant instructors

Costs Covered:
Tuition assistance amount is indexed to the number of hours the student is employed. The award is subject to tax withholding.

Temporary Assistance & Needy Families Students

Eligibility:

  • Texas high school graduate
  • Texas resident
  • Enrollment in college within 24 months of high school graduation
  • Age less than 22 at the time of enrollment
  • During the last year of high school, receipt of financial assistance under Chapter 31, Human Resources Code (AFDC), for not less than 6 months

Costs Covered:
Tuition and required fees for one year

Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan

Eligibility:
Students who have enrolled in TGTP. Plan enrollment, requirements, and payments are determined and maintained by Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

Costs Covered:
Resident tuition and required fees. Program and service related fees, and course related fees are not paid by TGTP.
