Frequently Asked Questions

When is a scholarship considered non-U.S. sourced income (not taxable)?

A scholarship is considered non-U.S. sourced income when a non-U.S. student is studying abroad. Payments should be processed on a VP2 document so the proper tax treatment will occur.
