About the Budget Office

Associate Vice President and Budget Director, Mary E. Knight, directs the Budget Office in the following primary functions:

1. Prepare the biennial Legislative Appropriations Request.
   
   
2. Prepare the University annual operating budget, including all supporting schedules.
   
   
3. Daily operations include maintaining revised budget by processing approved budget changes throughout the year.
   
   
4. Participate in the strategic planning process on budget- related matters.
   
   
5. Coordinate budget systems and procedures with Payroll, Human Resource Services, Office of Accounting, UT System Institutions, and other applicable departments.
   
   
6. Prepare various financial tables, reports, comparisons, and impact studies on proposed and actual legislation.
