Accounts Questions

How do I request permission for my account to go into overdraft?
Send an e-mail addressed to Mary E. Knight, Associate Vice President and Budget Director, with justification for the request, the amount of the overdraft, and the estimated date of expiration for the overdraft. The letter may be sent via E-mail to Mary E. Knight, Associate Vice President and Budget Director or to the Budget Office via campus mail code G0600. Or if you have signature authority on the account, you may send an e-mail to m.knight.utexas.edu.

Are transfers allowed between Appropriated Fund Accounts ("14" accounts) and Available University Fund accounts ("20" accounts)?
Since University policy will not allow a direct transfer between a "14" and "20" account, "14" account funds must be transferred through an unallocated control account, 14-9851-9098. Likewise, a corresponding transfer should be made in the same amount through the unallocated control account, 20-9851-9098.
