October 2008 Viewing Authorizations HRMS will go live on November 3, 2008. At that time, a single user interface will be available for users to accomplish a variety of human resources and appointment processes which today require access to *DEFINE and the Recruiting and Position Manager (RPM). With HRMS, new functionality will be available. For instance, employee authorizations will be accessible for viewing. UT-EID based authorizations, such as Apollo, the Department Contact System, Department System Department Head, Unit Codes and Budget Groups will be available for viewing. Additionally, users will be able to view an employee’s mainframe-based authorizations and roles. By making employee authorizations viewable in HRMS, the ability to request authorization changes or retrieve the correct authorization information for newly hired employees will be easier. Ultimately, as future phases of HRMS are deployed, employee authorization functionality may also grow to information on more systems in addition to UT-EID-based and mainframe-based authorizations and roles.
