HRMS and File Changes
Early in the development of HRMS, we believed that at the time of the Phase 2 release in November 2009, we were likely going to make changes to appointment files.
At this time, we will not make significant changes to appointment files for Phase 2 of HRMS that would affect your processes. The only changes we will make to appointment files are expanding the types of appointments that can be unfunded. In April, we sent you a message about no longer including funding account numbers on 0% appointments for affiliated workers, i.e. those who do work for the university but do not receive payment through payroll appointments. That information is located here.
The following is a complete list of appointments will be UNFUNDED, if complete funding has not been identified in HRMS:
- Hourly appointments
- 0% appointments
- Zero-rate appointments
For UNFUNDED appointments, the following fields will be derived from the owning unit code in HRMS:
- DEPARTMENT-TITLE
- AQ-ACCOUNT-SHORT-TITLE
- BUDGET-DEPT-CODE
- ACCOUNTING-DEPT-CODE
- ACCOUNTING-COLL-CODE
- DEPT-TITLE-1
- DEPT-TITLE-2
- COLLEGE-TITLE-1
- COLLEGE-TITLE-2
For UNFUNDED appointments, the following field will be blank:
