The Office of the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and its affiliated units embody this distinct duty. Through the responsible planning and management of the University’s resources, The Office of the Senior Vice President and CFO supports and enhances our core mission to be more effective, efficient, and achieve operational excellence.
Led by Darrell Bazzell, the CFO portfolio consists of more than 750 personnel overseeing a diverse array of financial, business, and information technology (IT) service units. Whether it’s providing a responsive, reliable, and client-focused financial management infrastructure, overseeing the University’s IT services, managing budgets, accounting, procurement, business contracts, or payroll and related functions, the Office of the Senior Vice President and CFO and its affiliated units strive for excellence. Under Bazzell’s leadership, the office works closely with campus partners to ensure the financial integrity of the flagship university for the State of Texas.
