President's Task Force on Efficiency

Welcome to the official Web site of the President's Task Force on Efficiency. President Faulkner charged this Task Force, consisting of five members from the faculty and two members from the administration, to identify, assess, and oversee the implementation of opportunities that would reduce University costs and concurrently improve services. The University refers to this as improving operational efficiency. UT Austin is committed to maintaining a leadership position in operational efficiency amongst other institutions of higher education.

Since the inception of the Task Force on Efficiency, over 65 improvement suggestions have been submitted to the Task Force for review. Most of these suggestions have either been reviewed to determine viability or have already been implemented. The Task Force is taking steps to better communicate the status of improvement suggestions so that everyone understands how one person can have a substantial impact on the University.
