Frequently Asked Questions

When will the Campus Club close?
The Campus Club restaurant closed on Friday, May 30. However, on-site and off-site catering will continue to be provided by the Campus Club during June and July 2008 (except the week of June 30-July 4). Please email us at campusclub@austin.utexas.edu or call 471-5898. Catering services after July 31 will be provided by the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center catering services (AT&T Conference Center). Call 471-7399 or e-mail flikfare@austin.utexas.edu.

Will the Campus Club name be changed?
Many of you will be delighted to know that The Campus Club name will not change. With the opening of the new AT&T Conference Center, a new faculty and staff organization will emerge to welcome new and established members under the Campus Club name.

When will the new club officially open for business?
The Campus Club will open for business August 2008 with lunch services in the Carillon restaurant and many new and exciting benefits.

Where and when will I be able to have lunch with my guests?
The Carillon restaurant in the AT&T Conference Center will be open only to faculty and staff during the lunch hour from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. The AT&T Conference Center is located at 1900 University Avenue at the corner of University Avenue and MLK Street.

Will the new faculty and staff club have private meeting rooms?
How much will the meeting rooms cost? There are seven private and semi-private meeting rooms in the Carillon restaurant space. The rooms accommodate 25-45 guests each. Some rooms may be re-configured and expanded to accommodate up to 100 guests. Pricing for the private rooms in the Carillon will be based on a food minimum, rather than a room cost. We plan to publish the food minimum requirements for the meeting rooms in the Carillon restaurant in the next few weeks.

Who is allowed to become a member of the club?
Membership is open to all University of Texas at Austin faculty and staff, UT System administration, and retirees. Departments will be able to establish accounts at the AT&T Conference Center for various services, including the use of the Carillon restaurant for lunch.

Will current memberships automatically transfer to the new club?
All current memberships will automatically transfer to the new club. New applications received prior to June 30 will continue to receive the current individual membership rate of $19 per month and $114 per year for retirees, payable in advance, for the first year.

How much will the new membership cost?
The Campus Club membership rate will be $23 per month for all UT Austin and UT System Administration faculty, staff, and retirees.

What benefits are included with an individual membership?
New and exciting benefits are being planned for you and your family. Below is a sampling of what your benefits may include:

  • Access to daily gourmet lunch buffet (Monday-Friday) in a private, collegiate setting. Pricing will be published in the near future.
  • Convenient parking during lunch.
  • Priority lunch dining and private meeting rooms reservations within the Carillon restaurant.
  • 10% discount on guest rooms (individual reservations), the Carillon Signature Restaurant (lunch and dinner), Gabriel’s Café, OneTwenty5 Lobby Bistro, Pool Side Grill, and personal purchases at the Spirit Gift Shop.
  • Invitations to exclusive events such as Book Signings, Celebrity Chats, Wine Pairings, Dinner and Theater packages, Chef's Table, Lecture Series, Cross Campus Mixers, Receptions.
  • Wireless access
  • New member referral incentive program
  • Access to the on-site full service business center
  • Reciprocal privileges with other clubs through the Association of Colleges and University Clubs (ACUC)

Will the club continue to have reciprocal privileges through Association of Colleges and University Clubs (ACUC)?
The new club will become a member of the Association of Colleges and University Clubs (ACUC). Reciprocity with nearly 100 university clubs worldwide will be available to you.

Will the new club restaurant continue to offer a buffet style lunch? How much will it cost?
The club restaurant will serve a buffet lunch, the menu will rotate daily. Pricing is being developed and will be published in the next few weeks.

May I book catered functions for next year?
Please call the AT&T Conference Center sales department who will assist you with booking your event, 471-7399 or flikfare@austin.utexas.edu.

Will the UT shuttle stop at the new AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center?
The Forty Acres shuttle stops at the corner of 21st and University Avenue which is near the facility.
