CPFM Information Management

About Us

CPFM (Campus Planning and Facilities Management) creates, supports, and maintains The University of Texas at Austin's physical environment. The Information Management Team facilitates CPFM’s efforts by managing and administering various information systems, including work management, project management, and space information management. More information about CPFM.

WORQS (The Work Order Request & Query System) is a Web-based tool for university employees to submit, view and track the progress of their work orders. This is also CPFM’s billing system where clients can view detailed cost statements and billing histories. A recent addition to WORQS is the CRIB (Construct, Remodel, Install, Build) Request form; this tool allows authorized clients to submit online requests for estimates and projects. Launch the WORQS application (EID required).

FAMIS (Facility Asset Management & Information System), CPFM’s work order and project management system, is extensively integrated with the university’s mainframe applications. This comprehensive program has allowed us to improve our business processes resulting in work orders and capital projects completed correctly, more efficiently and with higher customer satisfaction. Launch the FAMIS application (EID required).

Authorized Space Coordinators use WORQSpace to maintain their departments’ room information, and to certify their space data each year. Data from this system is also used by the Office of Accounting for Indirect Cost Recovery purposes, and by the Provost’s office for reporting to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). More information about WORQSpace.

Another aspect of space information managed by our team is the campus source map, and CPFM’s GIS (Geographic Information System). Our objective is to provide the university with a "single version of the truth" for all space-related data.
